I started out in the wedding world way back in 2003. Yes, I was that woman who decided to be a wedding planner after her own big day. I know, I know...

Anyway, two national awards, two books and hundreds of weddings later, it was time to put down the clipboard and move away from organising and planning weddings and start writing about them - there are fewer crazy late nights and I get to indulge my love of all things wordy on a daily basis.

I'm super lucky to work with so many amazing wedding professionals from photographers and florists to planners, boutiques, accessory brands, venues and many more. You name it, I write about it. I'm also Senior Writer for the gorgeous wedding blog, Love My Dress so it's fair to say, I'm a total wedding geek.

It's a bit of a shocker that I didn't consider becoming a wedding celebrant earlier but, from the moment I decided to take a leap into something new, it's felt as if everything has fallen into place. My wedding experience, my adoration of words and love stories and, hopefully, you - that's wedding perfection right there.

Away from my life in weddings, I'm an active, outdoorsy kinda gal. Long walks with my dog, netball with my friends and then cooking and feasting with my family are a few of the things make me smile.

In short, I'm a full time member of the wedding world and an incurable romantic who's also a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and you're head over heels in love, so...
