Well, this really isn’t how I thought this year would be.
By now, I should have conducted lots of fantastic and personal wedding ceremonies. I should have witnessed so many moments of joy and emotion. I should be spending my weekends zipping around to amazing venues and my weeks should be full of finalising and practicing ceremonies.
Instead, my diary is full of crossed out dates and every time I turn a page, I’m reminded that so much has changed. This is not how anyone wanted this year to be. I feel almost guilty writing how I feel about this situation when what couples are going through right now is so utterly awful but I do hope it helps, in the finest way, to know that suppliers really do feel your pain. We’re in this because we’re beyond passionate about what we do and this hurts.
But there are positives to hold on to. Weddings might be on hold right now but when they’re back, my goodness, how we’ll celebrate.
